There is no disputing who is No. 1, but after that let the confusion begin. Are we really going to have Alabama play LSU again for the championship after we saw what Oklahoma St. did to Oklahoma. Not to mention Alabama already lost to LSU, ON THEIR HOME FIELD. It's the same crap, different year and it isn't going to change until the BCS idiots are ousted, the bowls terminated and the University Presidents decide they want to make some real money.

Storage Wars: Inside Info

So like everyone else in the world I am a big fan of the show Storage Wars. So I decided to get off the couch and get into the trenches. After losing out on 8 auctions (including one I really wanted with a bunch of stuffed Geese) we came to the last storage locker. The locker didn't look too promising and most people started to leave, but in the back corner I saw a box with a note that said "Bart's Ring". Go time for jonobeingjono. $20 going once, going twice and boom real housewife of Lehi jumps into the fray "$30", we go back and forth and $140 later I take her down. I head to the office, pay for the locker, sprint (okay jog) back to my purchase, proceed immediately to the box, clear everything off it and on top it says "wedding rings"....uh oh. Rip it open and not only did I find Bart's Ring but I also got Margaret's:

Now on to the show. For all those like me who are dying to know.....what does Barry Weiss do? He made his money in the produce business as an owner and vice president of "About Northern Produce - Mushroom Inc." and also has always been in the antique business, and he has the highest net worth of anyone on the show.

Alleged Net Worth of the Characters:
1. Barry Weiss - $7,000,000

Dave Hester in the Courts:
- Sued in 2009 by American Express on a collections case.
- Sued in 2011 along with Newport consignment on a personal injury case, looks like a slip and fall case at the shop.
- Got a DUI in 2005.
- The most interesting legal matter is the current battle with rapper Trey Songz over his use of Yuuup. Trey Songz seems to claim that he has a claim to Yuuup and sent Hester a cease and desist. The X-Factor: Astro Memorial

It is not even close anymore for No. 1:

LSU played by far the best schedule. They didn't have to, but they played Oregon (Pac-12 Champ) and West Virginia (Big East Champ).

BCS Flaw:
For those interested each conference can only have 2 BCS bids, so what happens if Georgia beats LSU? There is an exception to the 2 team rule and it is if the two non-champions are ranked #1 and #2 as would likely be the case with LSU and Alabama. Leave it to the BCS to make an exception for two NON-CHAMPIONS to be ranked #1 and #2 in their rankings.

I am not seeing the love that everyone has for Alabama, they have 3 wins over teams with winning records, their best win...Arkansas. Boise St. has 7 wins over teams with winning records, and their best win...Georgia. We here don't want a rematch, if you couldn't beat them at home you don't deserve another chance.

This weeks big mover is, unfortunately, BYU, up 16 spots, but we can take solace in the fact that their best win this year was Utah State.

It was a crazy week with the Penn State scandal. In my opinion Paterno had to go. Don't get it twisted it was a cover-up. They all knew, and did not do enough to get Sandusky out of there. He was lifting weights on campus a week ago....are you for real? McQueary, you are still there, do you not remember finding him anally raping a kid and you are just cool with him being around?

With their big 9-6 win over Bama, LSU moves back to No. 1. We have included all the team rankings this week. Once you hit six losses you are ineligible which leaves 88 teams ranked at this point.

Many of the talking heads are calling for a LSU/Bama rematch for the Championship. This is a knee jerk illogical reaction. Alabama really hasn't played that difficult of a schedule and they lost at home, why should they get a rematch, they had their chance and lost.

Seal Beach Tragedy

For those interested in more info on the crazy shooter in Seal Beach, I have done some research and his name is Scott Dekraai.

Here is what we know:

Scott Dekraai was divorced from a Kristen Dekraai on 9/13/99, which was 12 years ago.

The alleged target was named as his ex wife "Michelle Dekraai", but there is no record in Orange County for a divorce from a Michelle Dekraai, unless Michelle is Kristen's middle name.

The supposed custody battle leading to the attack is over a 7 to 8 year son, who was apparently conceived after the divorce unless Michelle Dekraai is someone different than Kristen Dekraai. Yet there is no custody case pending in Orange County.

Scott Dekraai has now remarried a Luzviminda Dekraai and they own a house in Huntington Beach at 16212 Melody Lane, Huntington Beach. It was purchased by Scott in April 2008 for $629,000 and he took out a loan of $315,000, his new wife was eventually added to the title. They also recently purchased a home for $495,000 at 20720 Nectar Avenue in Lakewood with a loan of $242,000. Our guy Scott has some money.

Contrary to news reports there is no person with the last name Dekraai licensed by the California board of cosmetology.

Something appears to be off in what is being reported, I think the current wife (Luzviminda) must be the same Michelle being talked about and he was out to get someone associated with her at the salon. Convertible BMW Laywer (Lincoln Lawyer's main competition) is on the case, we'll try to get some more details to figure this thing out.

So a couple of years ago on this here blog I warned all landlords about Real Housewife Lynne Curtin. Well she did it again, Eviction No. 4:

Jacalyn Robbins v. Frank Curtin and Lynne Curtin; Orange County Superior Court Case No. 30-2011-00458887.

The Plaintiff hired eviction attorney Steven Silverstein, who Mr. Free Parking has had many cases with (the last court appearance I had with him, he showed up in a polo shirt). The Curtins settled the matter, agreeing to move out, however failed to comply with the settlement and judgment was eventually entered against them.

Wasn't she saying last season that business was booming????

I think we all knew Ella was going to lose the challenge and then cry about it so no surprise there.

The episode didn't really get cracking until Kasey went to pout in the weeds, that was good footage. Also I appreciated the discarded bunk beds outside the compound, that was so L.A., I was just waiting to see some dude pull up in a truck and start loading them.

Who cares about the $250,000, when a perfect rose record is broken.

Michael is a legit dude. Any questions I had about him evaporated when he picked Money and Graham. I can't say so much for Graham. Graham buddy don't you think it was a little case of calling the kettle black complaining about friendship is more important than the game.......did you forget what you did to your friend Gia....and to say it's not about the money, if there is one thing I've learned it's that when someone says it's not about the money it's all about the money.

Encino Man, that is why you don't quit a show where you can win $250,000 for a girl, for a dude, maybe.

Jake and Kasey with a man hug, that was touching.

Kasey, I'm not sure what just happened. It will be hard to convince me you are not the guy who was shown, when you are dating Vienna, and you guys are friends with Erica now? Weird.

Money you should not have made the announcement that you did not want pity votes.

Blake and Holly could not have seemed more orchestrated to create drama for the keep/share decision at the end but I am always happy to see people find true love.

Bachelor Pad is now rivaling the bachelor/ette franchise on couples getting married which makes me very happy.

All said it was a great season and I can't wait for the next installment. We'll talk again in a few months when we find out if Ben can find true love.

Bachelor Pad Recap: Let's Get It Over With!

What else was I going to title the recap. Alright maybe I could have went with "I wish he would have brought a bunch of condoms".

Let's get right to Kasey and Vienna. Call me old fashioned but taking her promise ring for withholding sex seems entirely appropriate to me. Next was shaming her into it by saying just say yes like you did with Wes like you did with Dave Good like you did with....like you did with...like you did with..... Since that didn't work I think he had no choice but to up the ante, either we hook up or no $250,000, finally Vienna got the picture and gave us the words we all want to hear "let's get it over with". Some people claim make up sex is the best I would argue that manipulation sex is way better.

On to the other priceless one, Erica. She had so many historical lines that it is hard to recap all of them. About Vienna "this is a mansion not a trailer park"....very astute analysis. During the nearlywed game "I'm kind of a slut"....hilarious. When Blake tried to analogize bringing a bunch of condoms as a negative "I agree and wish he would have"....she will make a great lawyer. "Blake hooked up with the craziest girl in the house and a girl who has a fiance, at least I hooked up with the bachelor".....again I can't argue with that. Erica is super smooth and seductive and I don't know how Blake was able to resist. He should have just "released any tension there might have been".

Money I hope Brielle wasn't watching you straddle Graham in the hot tub. Last week we taught her it is not alright to kiss guys, so I'm not sure what message she is going to get from this week.

Blake if you wanted to stay maybe you should have held off on making out with Holly in front of Michael on voting night.

Ella, I have to agree with the other contestants your story is getting a little played. The story about your mom is rough but we get it already you deserve the money and you are a single mom who needs the money. You are a contestant on the Bachelor Pad one of the sleaziest (not in a bad way) shows ever. The person that deserves the money is the person that wins the show, which will be Graham and Money (in my opinion).

Next week is going to be must see tv, I may have to set up some sort of live recap to capture all of what will be an unforgettable evening.

College Football Week One

Nice week for the Pac 12 with losses to a D2, Houston and a beatdown in the marquee game of the week.

Why couldn't Utah State recover an onside kick, it would have been the perfect way to start the season. I gotta give it to Coach Andersen he coached a perfect game and the call to take a delay of game on purpose and then run the fake field goal is one of the best calls I've seen.

Boise St. could have beat Georgia by 35 to 40 points if they wanted, which makes me wonder why they don't just start sticking it to teams? If I was the coach or AD I would start running it up until you get respect.

Take The Money and Run

This show really should be called Take the Money and Run...........and immediately confess your fake crime therein losing $100,000.

So when I heard about the show I thought the premise had a lot of potential. You are given a case with $100,000 and you have an hour to hide it. After the hour is up two policemen and two interrogators try to find the case, if they find it within 48 hours they get the money, if not the contestants get it.

However, the show gets real cheezy when the officers come and actually arrest the contestants and take their mugshots and incarcerate them. The mind blowing part of the show thus far is that the contestants continually give in to the pressure of interrogation and incarceration for their pretend crime and squeal like a stuck pig.

Only 1 of 5 contestants has been successful so far, and 3 of them have outright told the police where it is. Am I missing something? This cannot be real. This is a Jerry Bruckheimer show, he of Amazing Race creation, but I am not buying it.

I will provide some free legal advice to the fake criminals:
1) When they ask you where you hid the case reply "Bangladesh" over and over again.
2) Any other question they ask you should be answered with an "I can't remember".
3) Yes or No questions should be answered with "maybe".

They don't call me the Lexus Lawyer for nothing.

Hey Jake, three things I am very blessed at: 1) an ability to write amazing BP recaps; 2) an ability to spot real love when I see it (ie Jake & Erica); and 3) and an ability to be superduper smart and funny and good looking and I think I have an advantage over the other bloggers due to my extensive training in reality tv watching.

Vienna did you say that you have had no alone time with Kasey......uh I beg to differ we all saw the infamous double blur from week one. If we don't see another double blur asap you may be headed for "another public tv breakup".

Did anyone else notice that when Kasey told Vienna that she was acting crazy they immediately panned to the protect and guard tattoo. You can't buy such quality production, pure Jenius.

Now did anyone else notice that at minute 46 Graham has a rose, and then minute 47 no rose, and then minute 48 Money goes to get the rose. Uh Oh! You can't buy such quality production.

Chris Harrison has once again shown why he is America's favorite host...classic telling Vienna you will call her a cab. Hey Vienna, you got paid to broadcast your breakup with Jake which would imply that you weren't forced to televise it.

The heart is beating.

Ella you may have survived but you are still fatter and uglier than Erica.

Erica I don't think I've ever had such a dramatic swing of how I felt for someone. I felt terrible for you and then you reminded us that Ella is thicker than you and should have been the target. Although I dig the preview of you hooking up with Jake......SPOILER ALERT: If Jake and her don't hook up next week, then you know Jake is not getting voted out.

Encino man, that was an admittedly pimp move, you knew you were next so why not act like you gave up 250K for a girl, it is a sure way to get some. I did love your wave and giggle before you ran for the limo but I am shocked and dismayed that you could love Jackie more than you loved Ashley, especially after you just met her, you and Ashley broke down so many walls and I don't think Jackie has been with you long enough to break down any walls.

Blake, you are hot but you broke the cardinal rule of this type of format. You can flirt all you want, but you never ever ever ever hook up just to gain favor. That strategy has never worked.

Gia, I usually am a critic of those who quit, but you looked like you just needed a hug.....I'm here and I won't treat you like Jake, Wes, Kasey or Graham. BP Recap: Best 3 Hours Ever

So when I went to the DVR and saw that Bachelor Pad was going to be three hours I have to say I was thinking this is a little too much...too much awesome for one night.....and indeed it did not disappoint. My salient points and analysis:

Jake: Jake we already know Vienna is a freak, yeah you spazzed on live tv during the breakup but we have moved on as we can clearly see that Vienna is nuts. I am actually going to go against the grain by calling Jake out, I don't think his giving the rose to Vienna was anything more than another attempt to clean up his image by apologizing for yelling at her. The right thing to do would have been to give it to a friend who stood up for you.....Gia.

Vienna: We aren't buying it, give it a rest. I do have to give you credit on giving us the first fully nude blur in Bachelor history.

Kasey: "I'm in the best shape of my life, I've gained 30 pounds of solid muscle I just want to punch the guy" followed by "I'm gonna go take a Jake and wipe my Pavelka". Two of the funniest lines I've ever heard on TV. This coming from a guy who got a tattoo on the bachelorette promising to protect and guard Ali's heart. You better watch it though you already broke your promise to Vienna not to fight on TV.

Gia: I loved her grease board summary of what's been going on with her life, she is awesome. What am I missing with her: superhot, funny and sweet and she has now had two guys dump her for Vienna and her mom haircut.....smh.

Money: Good job on the challenge, you deserved to win.

Ames: I went from a mere month ago thinking you liked guys to being the biggest pimp on the show.

Who is the chubby princess?

Blake: You are hot, I think you should have held out to be the next Bachelor, you can't put a price on true love.

It was so fun to see Ryan back and to see him get sent home for the second time. I loved when she was pumping him up and he had that goofy smile and then she hit him with.....but........you are an idiot.

Have there ever been so many contestants to quit the show out of pure annoyance at who was the bachelor/ette?

Ashley "we" did not decide for Constantine to go home "he" decided.

Ben, you said the magic words and it isn't I love you but rather I broke down my walls. There is nothing more effective for finding true love than to break down walls.

Why did Ashley change into more clothes with JP in the fantasy suite?

Ryan you are from CDM yet you continually wear office casual to the beach.

What would have happened if either Ben or JP did not accept the rose? Considering three people have already left I thought it was a very risky decision for Ashley and ABC.

Where was Harrison to tell us there was only one rose remaining? That is just not right to break format at this point.

So it comes down to this JP v. Ben, two great guys who have broken down some serious walls this year and who are really at this point committed to true love and to maintaining that hope of a happy ending and to spending the rest of their lives together.

Bachelorette Recap: Water Heaters and Urine Lanterns

Ryan when are you going to learn that talking about your passions and what is important to you will never lead to true love. You need to talk about breaking down walls and connections and chemistry and the power of love, that is what makes people fall in love. Also FYI, I love hot showers, and I am not afraid to sit in that hot shower for 45 minutes if I feel like it, and my water heater better be ready and better keep pumping or I am going to be furious. I was personally relieved to find out that my water heater is working all day and is ready for me to take a hot shower on a whim.

Ames, you have come a long way since your days of running around Encino with Pauly Shore, congrats buddy.

I can't believe that Constantine stayed after that dog urinated all over his and Ashley's love. That was a sign if I've ever seen one.

I wasn't surprised to see Lucas go, how comfortable can Ashley be with a guy who just fell out of love with his last wife. I can see cheating or addiction but just falling out of love, red flag for me.

So it comes down to the Josh Grobans, JP and Encino Man. I don't think there has ever been a worse foursome in Bachelorette history. There aren't a lot of good options here, it sure is looking like JP, which sure makes me look really smart if you go back to my first Bachelorette recap. What can I say I am really in touch with my emotions and I can pick out true love when I see it.

Bachelorette Recap: The long awaited .

So after several weeks of . . . we finally got the .

The long awaited return of Adolf Bentley was quite tense. I for one found the conversation and interaction between Bentley and Ashley riveting, but admittedly I may be in the minority on that view. I so wanted Bentley back on the show but alas it wasn't to be.

Does anyone else want to go to Hong Kong? It looked magical and I can only imagine seeking true love over dinner in a junk boat or listening to the mystical sounds of the erhu while the fog rolls in over city lights. It was beautiful and the perfect setting for Ashley to move past that meanie Bentley in her quest for true love.

Not since Gerald (with a hard G) from the Joe Schmo show has there been a more gotta be gay guy than Ames. Someone needs to let him know asap that just because Ashley and Constantine have the same chest size, they are not the same in all regards.

I was proud of Mickey for standing up for what is right and leaving the show, only thing is I am not sure when he joined the show.....has he been on all season?

Quite surprised with Ryan getting the rose on the group date. I am not buying what he is selling, with his exuberance and positive outlook on life. Maybe if I lived in CDM my attitude would change.

Ashley could you please get rid of one of the Geico Josh Grobans, it is getting very difficult for me to distinguish Constantine from Ben during the previews for upcoming weeks.

My week 1 prediction of JP is looking really solid right now, but love is very unpredictable and I'm not taking it to the bank yet. Based on those ABC previews there is still a lot to go down so stay tuned.

Did we get played or what, led to believe that this was the week that Bentley returns, touche ABC preview guy, got us again.

Episode started a bit slow, we survived a mental kiss between Ashley and Benstantine to get to the group date where it got a little more fun.

I was so shocked that Ames got the pink shorts, and that he then got knocked out.....shocking. Is there anything less romantic than a guy faking a concussion, it really ruined the evening. With all of those tired muscles the date was inevitably headed for a hot tub and then Ames goes to the hospital and ruins it.

The head to head date was really good. William narcs on Ben and he gets sent down the river, literally, without even confirming the truth of Will's statements. Then poor Will gets the boot and tells us he is going to kill himself. Eaaaasssssssssy William, be more gentle with yourself, how can you say you have nothing to go home to, I'm sure the cell phone sales kiosk at the mall held your position. I was half expecting Mike Seaver to come on afterward with a public service announcement about suicide.

In the end Nick got the boot which came as no surprise as no one with that hair and that tan is looking for real love.

The previews teased us again with a Bentley sighting and even though I got played this week, I can't wait to see this go down. Can you imagine if all the dudes just quit over it, potential Bachelorette history. Poor Ashley is showing us again that she is the most insecure empty headed dentist in the Country, but after watching her with Womack are we really surprised? Oh, but what I would pay to be sitting with her watching the Bentley episodes back.

I am really getting over Ashley quick. I have to concur that it would have been much better with Emily or Chantal. Could Ashley have said one more time "If Bentley Were Here"........

Is there anything less romantic than building an orphanage?

Which was more awkward: a) Blake breaking up with Ryan because of his positivity; b) Brad boiling over with anger at "after the final rose" with Emily or c) Ryan explaining that the reason he is so positive is that he doesn't have mortars going off around him.

I'm glad that my guy J.P. is the best kisser on the show, I knew that from the beginning.

Who is going to break the news to Ames that this is not "The Bachelor", I bet he was more disappointed to not see Brad waiting for him when he got out of the limo than Bentley was to not see Emily.

And finally, I hope you all watched the preview for next week! I can't believe she cut "The Mask" and he is already back and that he is in the hotel .......crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Restaurant Review: Sol Y Luna

A lot of valley celebs seem to like Sol Y Luna so thought I would give it a try. The atomosphere was good..lots of people and Mariachi singers crooning. I had beef tacquitos and Wifey had a Carnitas Burrito, but I wasn't overly impressed. As a salsero myself I am always on the hunt for good chips and salsa, the chips were alright but the salsa wasn't very good. The tacquitos were a little overcooked for my liking. The green sauce on the carnitas burrito was good, but nothing blew me away or made me think that I have to go back.

Maybe I ordered wrong, which is a rarity, but I was disappointed. I heard it was owned by the same Fuentes family from Las Fuentes and Melody's, but this is definitely the weak link in the family.

Bachelorette Recap: June 6, 2011

I have to say, this was one of the best episodes of all time...right up there with when Ed could not perform in the bedroom.

My SLC homies are really representing. Money tore it up last season and now Bentley oh Bentley. I loved that right before she completely got played Ashley said she was ready to just move to Salt Lake City and ride off into the sunset, and I didn't even know she was Mormon.

A few of Bentley's great lines: 1) Ashley is kind of like the ugly duckling; 2) I started kissing her on the neck to try and turn her on a little bit; 3) How can I give you my heart when it already belongs to my daughter; 4) We were in a great position to start something, she was straddling me.

Obviously the whole episode was carried by Bentley, but a few other important points:

- Mask guy........you never should have removed the mask, we knew that was coming

- Ashley why do you have a "roast" date and then cry when you get roasted, maybe you should have had a love poem contest instead of a roast.

- Happy to see my prediction JP finally get a chance and to survive.

Next week should be super-exciting as the contestants go to Phuket (no pun intended).

Restaurant Review: Barone's

Went to Barone's on Saturday based on recommendations from many and it didn't disappoint. They serve thin crust Neapolitan rectangle pizzas. I ordered Canadian Bacon and Pepperoncinis. It had a little spice, nice thin crust and savory sweet sauce.

The large ran me $18.50, but the leftovers have also been surprisingly outstanding. I am not a fan of leftovers, but throw Barone's in the toaster over for a few minutes and it comes out good as new.

If you like thin crust this is definitely one of the best in the 818.

Food Truck Review

As many of my followers know, Mr. Free Parking is the resident food truck expert for Greater Los Angeles. Here is a review of some of the more popular trucks roaming the streets.

KOGI:

Kogi is the one that made the food truck concept popular. They serve Korean-Mexican fusion. It is unique and well priced. I recommend the Short Rib Burrito ($5), the Pork Belly is also tasty. Load it up with Sriracha and you are good to go.

GRILLED CHEESE TRUCK:

I was beyond excited to try The Grilled Cheese Truck as I really like cheese. I came away a bit disappointed. The food was good but nothing special and was way overpriced. If you add bacon and guac to your sandwich it comes to $9. It's worth going to try it out but it isn't close to my favorite food truck.

NOM NOM:

This is my favorite truck. They serve Banh Mi and Tacos. For those of you unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine, Banh Mi is a sandwich and a good sandwich at that. You can order a Pork Banh Mi for $5 which is clearly the best but the Lemongrass Chicken is also good. The portions are great especially for $5. Be prepared to wait in line, but it is well worth the wait.

GRILL EM ALL TRUCK:

Grill Em All was the winner of the Great American Food Truck Race on the Food Network. They make gourmet hamburgers the most famous of which is The Behemoth ($9) wherein each bun is a grilled cheese sandwich. I must admit I was in heaven while eating it but approximately an hour later felt that death may be imminent but I would take the risk of death again any day of the week.

I have also been to Frysmith and Don Chow Tacos and wil save the review of those for another day. I also am seeking an opportunity to try Crepes Bonaparte, The Buttermilk Truck, Fishlips and Lomo Arigato so we'll have some info on those soon.

AN END OF AN ERA.

I just finished the series finale and this post may not properly express everything that The Hills means to me....as I am overcome with emotion.

The finale just went right to the heartstrings and when they played Jay-Z's forever young that was all I could handle....it was a beautiful moment. I started to get it together and then a remix of Natasha Bedingfield's theme song....truly beautiful.

For the interpretation of the ending scene with the Hollywood set, I am going against the grain. I think they were throwing it in all of the haters' faces who say the show was fake. You can't fake true emotion and that is all I felt at the end. Liz Gateley is a genius and she just flipped the script, it was real, passionate and raw and I loved it.

So lets run down my final thoughts on the characters.

Spencer: this was the only disappointing part for me, I think it is unfortunate that he was cut out of the show, love him or hate him you can't deny that the flesh-colored beard is entertaining.

LC: you got a little annoying toward the end of your reign, but I got nothing but love for you. You were the original and I know you had everyone's best interests at heart.

Heidi: It was sad to see the clips of her, as she really has problems. We're praying for you Heidi.

Brody: You really bugged me at times, but you can't deny the swag and your last scene with Kristin was uh mazing!

JB: "You can call me whatever the hell you want." He is a good looking man and I believe he and Audrina will be happy together for eternity.

Kristin: The B is back. Always fun and very misunderstood. I so wanted to give you a hug you looked so hurt, but you'll be good, you are smart and incredibly talented.

Audrina: What a sweetie, that's all I have to say. You are genuine and loving and you deserve the best.

Lo: Whatever.

Enzo: You looked like a stud riding that elephant at your birthday party.

Stacie: Best bartender in town.

Jason "Big Baller" Wahler: You are a man's man. I know you are going through a lot, but you'll pull through, stay strong my man.

Stephanie: I think it turns out you were kind of the glue. They tried to make you out as crazy but you were always mediating and bringing people together and you deserve some real credit.

So I must admit I wasn't a huge Ali fan during Jake's season, but I think I am officially a convert, and if I wasn't I definitely became more interested in her personality when she went to the Turkish bath.

Last week we finally got rid of Rated R, it was a long time coming especially after the fiasco of him wearing his boot on different feet during the same episode. So now the question becomes who is the favorite to win her heart and spend the rest of their life in blissful companionship and marriage with Ali.

From episode 1 I have been a Frank fan. I think he is genuine and he doesn't seem to be the typical meathead. However, I was quite disturbed at the previews showing Frank potentially breaking her heart, but I'm not going to give in to creative editing quite yet.

Restaurant Review: Bobby's Coffee Shop

Is there a better feeling than eating a steak for breakfast? I don't think so. I mean, I love omelettes and breakfast burritos as much as the next guy....but steak.

Bobby's is a great breakfast diner that I go to frequently yet I can't get myself to order anything but the Steak and Eggs special, it is too on point. It comes with a surprisingly tender and good sized sirloin, mound of hash browns, two eggs and choice of toast.

Prices are decent but parking is difficult as it is always busy for breakfast, but if you are in the West San Fernando Valley it is definitely worth a stop.

Restaurant Review: The Apple Pan

The Apple Pan is an L.A. establishment since 1927. There are no tables just a U-Shaped counter in which you have to wait for someone to get up to grab a seat and you better move quick as they are hard to come by. It is cash only and they still use the old-school cash register.

In my opinion The Apple Pan has the best Egg-Salad Sandwhich in SoCal, it is a generous heap of egg salad and lettuce with pickle chips and olives on the side. The burgers are also solid, the Steakbuger comes with the Apple Pan sauce which is kind of a relishy ketchup sauce. The Hickoryburger comes doused in bbq sauce. The fries are great and you can finish it off with a fresh slice of apple or pecan pie. Drinks are served in snow cone style cups placed in a chilled metal holder. My boy Hector was running the counter last time I went and watching him operate with a generally grumpy attitude is a pleasure.

If you want classic L.A. you have to hit the Apple Pan. Burgers and sandwiches run from $6 - $8 which might be a little high but you are also paying for the experience.

Anyone Want To Invest In Real Estate Development?

Real Estate Tycoons Frank & Lynne Curtin are in a bit of hotwater again, this time judgment has been entered against them in Riverside County in the amount of 1.26 million for failure to repay "loans" made to them for real estate development investments.

The case is Mercury Manzano v. Frank Curtin, Lynne Curtin and Christopher Curtin, Riverside Superior Court Case No. RIC474089.

Manzano sued the Curtins for Breach of Contract; Common Counts and Fraud. Some of the allegations from the complaint:

- On May 31, 2005, Manzano lent Christopher Curtin $150,000, the loan was memorialized with a promissory note.

- On October 1 2005, Manzano lent Frank Curtin $500,000, the loan was memorialized with a promissory note.

- On January 1, 2006, Manzano lent Frank Curtin $200,000, the loan was memorialized with a promissory note.

- On September 1, 2006, Manzano lent Frank & Lynne Curtin $517,500, the loan was memorialized by a note and a deed of trust secured by property located at 2861 Chateau Way, Laguna Beach, CA.

- On September 1, 2006, Manzano lent Frank & Lynne Curtin $600,000, the loan was memorialized by a note and a deed of trust secured by property located at 21 Vista De La Luna, Laguna Beach, CA.

The Curtins failed to repay any of the notes and the Plaintiff was forced to foreclose the 2 Laguna Beach properties losing $150,000 on Chateau Way and $175,000 on Vista De La Luna.

So once the dust had settled the Curtins ran away with $1,175,000.

In the fraud claims the Plaintiff alleged that at the time the loans were made the Curtins never had any intention of repaying them and that they have engaged in similar fraudulent conduct in the past.

Another classic quote from the lawsuit "The Curtins held themselves out as experienced contractors and developers of residential properties."

Manzano won his lawsuit and now holds a 1.26 million dollar judgment against the Curtins. Lynne is going to have to sell a lot of cuffs to pay that back but it may not ever come to that as I smell a bankruptcy coming.....stay tuned.

So we were all enthralled and saddened when poor Lynne Curtin of Real Housewives of Orange County was evicted from her beautiful Laguna Beach rental and we sympathized with her shock that her husband pulled this one over on her.

What she failed to mention is that this is not her first ride on the eviction train, in fact she has been evicted three times.

Eviction No. 1, Orange County Superior Court Case No. 00CC00902:

Filed January 13, 2000, and judgment entered against Lynne on March 2, 2001. I have to give her props, eviction proceedings in California are summary proceedings the process is supposed to go as follows:

1. After tenant is late on rent you post a 3 day notice to pay or quit the premises

2. If tenant does not pay or vacate you file an unlawful detainer (fancy legalese for eviction) complaint in Court

3. Tenant has 5 days to respond

4. If tenant does not respond then landlord can file a request to enter default judgment, if tenant responds then landlord must file a request to set case for trial

5. Court is obligated under California law to set the case for trial within 20 calendar days

Somehow Lynne was able to draw out the proceedings for well over a year, which means she didn't pay a dime of rent for at least 16 months. Well done. Well done.

The landlord's attorney was Dennis P. Block & Associates which is a well known eviction firm, but this was not their best effort letting this squatter hang around for more than a year.

Eviction No. 2, Orange County Superior Court Case No. 07SL00736; Mercury Manzano v. Lynne Curtin:

Filed 2/9/07, and judgment entered against Lynne on 3/5/07 after a Court Trial. Plaintiff's attorney was another well known eviction lawyer John Bouzane, who did a nice job obtaining judgment in less than a month.

Lynne and her husband Frank seem to have quite the relationship with this Mercury Manzano as another case was filed by, one Mercury Manzano, against them in Riverside County in which a judgment was obtained for failing to repay hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans. Let's just say I feel for Mercury Manzano. Either Lynne and her husband Frank are very convincing or Mercury is not exactly Warren Buffett.

Eviction No. 3, Orange County Superior Court Case No. 30-2009-00249269; Marianne J. Moy v. Lynne Curtin:

Filed 3/4/09, and judgment entered against Lynne on 4/22/09 in the amount of $13,480. This was the high profile eviction as televised on Bravo as Lynne's daughters were served with the eviction papers. Lynne put on a great display of shock as if she could not believe she could possibly be evicted, but as we see above it was quite an act.

Plaintiff's attorney was Kimball, Tirey & St. Johns yet another well known eviction firm. Lynne has now been sued by three of the main eviction firms in SoCal, all she needs is two more evictions by David Endres and Randall Naiman and she will officially have been evicted by all high-volume eviction attorneys in SoCal. Now that would be quite an achievement.

One word of advice to future landlords of the Curtins: PREPAY!

Now That Jamie McCourt Is Fired...

I am ready to fix the Dodgers. I know McCourt is broke but we can no longer pretend that we are a mid-market team. LA is the second largest market in the country, the Dodgers lead the league in attendance and sell a ton of merch so there is no reason that the Doyers should not have at least the third hightest payroll in the league if not second.

Payroll for 2009:

So pay attention McCourt and Coletti here is what needs to be done to guarantee championship next year:

1. Avoid arbitration with Ethier, pay him $7,000,000 for the year.
2. Avoid arbitration with Kemp pay him $7,000,000 for the year.
3. Trade James McDonald, Chad Billingsley, Andrew Lambo and Josh Bell for Roy Halladay. I know Billingsley certainly lost a lot of worth but I think he still could have value. If they don't want Billingsley then put a couple more prospects in there.
4. Trade James Loney, Blake Dewitt, Ivan DeJesus and Xavier Paul for Adrian Gonzalez (Gonzalez is on the last year of his deal and the Padres will not want to resign him with what he will be looking for so I think Dodgers give them a chance to rebuild and pick up Gonzalez).
5. Avoid Arbitration with Martin pay him $3,900,000 for the year (same as last year)
6. Sign Castro to 1 year $1,000,000 deal, he got $700,000 last year.
7. Sign Ausmus to 1 year $1,000,000 deal, same as last year.
8. Sign Hudson to 3 year $15,000,000 deal (if he doesn't want to come back then sign Belliard to 1 year $5,000,000 deal).
9. Sign John Lackey to 5 year $75,000,000 deal. He wants a contract similar to Burnett and I give it to him.
10. Sign Erik Bedard to 2 year $12,000,00 deal. He has been injured but when healthy can be filthy and it would add another lefty to the staff.
11. Avoid arbitration with Kuo pay him 1 year $1,000,000.
12. Avoid arbitration with Broxton pay him 1 year $5,000,000.

The Hills: The B is Back

So if you have not been watching The Hills, you need to because the B is back, although I do not think she is a B at all, I think she is quite pleasant, and I feel bad that she is succumbing to the wiles of Mr. Bobby.

I thought this week's episode was quite touching especially the final scene with Audrina and JB, they really are soulmates and just need to surrender to the galaxy pulling them together.

Another tender moment was the Father-Daughter relationship between Kristen and her father Dennis. They had a real heartfelt chat while sipping wine over a Pacific Sunset.

Meanwhile, on the Speidi front, marriage really has brought a lot of maturity as they are counseling and helping Holly through her alcoholism, although there does appear to be a little trouble in paradise on whether or not they will be having children.

So far the drama has been good and Kristen is better looking than LC so no complaints from FP.

P.S. Spencer are you now a cowboy?

P.P.S. Brody and Jayde are not going to survive this.

Restaurant Review: Salsa and Beer

Went to Salsa and Beer last night in the SFV and was not disappointed.

Start off with chips and a spicy bean dip instead of salsa. I am a big salsa fan, but the bean dip was amazing and had the right amount of kick.

I started with a legit tortilla soup that wasn't overly Americanized like most tortilla soups these days (Chilis). I then ordered a Carnitas Chimichanga and the Carnitas were amazingly tender and appeared to have a bit of lime flavor. I washed it down with jarritos and left very satisfied, some of the best Mexican I've had in a while.

The ambience was colorful and the service was good. Price of my entree was $7.99 +1.99 to add the soup, pretty affordable.

Fall TV Update

FP here to give you a quick summary of TV this fall:

Shark Tank:
Currently favorite show on TV. Nice touch of business, comedy, drama and tears. It is must see TV.

Amazing Race:
The best reality show going outside of Real Chance of Love.

Real Chance of Love:
Just two brothers trying to find love, it is real touching to see Real having to decide between Pocahontas and Sassy and Chance spending quality time with Mamacita.

Desperate Housewives:
I really liked last year, it appears they are going for a bit of a repeat of theme from Dave Williams with the new family with the child that tried to kill Julie, we'll stick with it for now.

One Tree Hill:
They get rid of Lucas and Payton and I am still watching? Not sure why, but I seem to be hooked again.

The Hills:
New cast as the B is back. So what if it is scripted I love the script. Kristen with JB classic.

The City:
I like the addition of Roxy she is sure mixing it up, last season was a bit of a bore, but we are off to a good start this year.

90210:
I phased it out for a bit last year, but I am back and back strong. This is quickly moving back up the list. I am starting to become attached to the characters and the plots are quite dramatic.

Survivor:
Third best reality show outside of Amazing Race and Real Chance of Love.

The Office:
The wedding was definitely cute but the comedic moments are inconsistent, but still worth watching.

Community:
Getting better every week...love you Joel McHale.

The Soup:
Comedy Gold!

So far I have been pretty entertained so no complaints here. Can't wait for Friday Night Lights in a couple of weeks.

Float Like A Butterfly Sting Like A Bee

DO NOT MESS WITH SPENCER, END OF STORY!

So I was beginning to feel that The Hills was losing its luster and I wasn't overly excited for the last season, however that all changed when Spencer "lightning fists" Pratt got busy on Cameron's dome.

Cameron are you for real right now, what a busybody. That was so weak to start texting Stephanie what a *%!* block. Spencer really wasn't doing anything, that bartender was just instigating trying to get her 15 minutes and Heidi why do you run home to your mommy every time things get difficult it is time for you to be a big girl. If you want to leave Spencer then leave, but the whole flying back to Colorado thing is tired (and your Mommy is really really annoying... and is it just me or did they write your old Dad off the show to write in a new Dad?).

Spencer I got your back on this one and if you are in need of criminal defense for assault and battery just holla at the King of Torts it is on the house Pro Bono.

And is there a bigger tool than Brody. I may be in the minority on this one but I see right through that dude and he is a tool, trust me. Nonetheless nothing but props from me for hooking up with Audrina, gotta keep it real.

I'm all in for the final season, it has my approval, and I recommend that you don't miss out on history by missing any of it.

I Love Money........I Really Do

Is there a more underrated reality show than I Love Money on VH1. It is a collection of perhaps the 16 biggest nitwits in the world who are alumni of either "Flavor of Love", "Rock of Love", "I Love New York" or "Real Chance of Love" competing for $250,000 (how can this show get $250,000 and Top Chef can only get $100,000?)

I am going to go ahead and put this into print that I want the rights and I am trademarking the idea of a documentary following the winner of this show to see what they do with the money.

Let's just say that up until last week the person calling the shots was Frank the Entertainer a 37 year old pizza delivery man living in his parent's basement.

He is competing against the likes of contestants named Heat, It, 20 Pack, T-Weed, Frenchie, Bonez, Prancer, Ice, Tailor Made, Buckwild and Myammee.

Just watching these geniuses strategize is absolutely hilarious. Myammee has perhaps the most interesting strategy which is to show up at the elimination ceremony in lingerie. Last week she stated and I quote "Cali has to be the dumbest girl ever to be on reality TV." Cali's response "I am not the dumbest girl. I just tried to play it loyal. I don’t know. Maybe. I was retarded."

Frenchie is an absolute gem.

She is apparently a French stripper who looks somewhat manly. Whenever they interview her she starts rambling in an ununderstandable language. VH1 translates below by completely inventing what she is saying, it is quite funny. She had the power to send 20 Pack home but didn't send him since he agreed to ummmmmm..... consummate their relationship. It may get him the $250k but he now has Syphilis and Chlamydia.

If you are not watching this just get onto VHI they are always showing reruns you can get caught up real quick.

In case you are wondering when the new episode airs, you would maybe think a Sunday night or a Wednesday night, well you would be wrong. The new episode runs for the first time on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. Again I ask, how can a show that runs its new episode at 8:00 a.m. on a Monday giving away $250,000? Baffling? See you at 8 tomorrow.

Keeping Up With the Love of Ray J

Isn't it convenient that the two stars of a love tape have both ended up with reality shows when none of knew who either of them were prior to the love tape.

Let's start with the Kardashians. Not surprisingly I am actually finding the show kinda interesting. I am not sure if this is due to the lack of other shows on my DVR or if it is actually entertaining. Really though, what is not interesting about Khloe threatening to sue the &!*# out of her Mom and Kim for using the word dashing for her perfume line......or watching a Momager pimp out her daughters Kourtney and Khloe as they join the ranks of birthday suit modeling. After threatening to sue Kourtney had her boyfriend prank call Kim pretending to be a lawyer and threatening to sue and watching that brainiac Kim buy it was priceless. I like it and it is also fun times to pause it to locate nearby Valley locales. Last week they drove right by the OSH near my house. I am going to keep watching for now at least until I start to see my DVR filling up again.

Now on to Ray-J aka Brandy's brother aka the guy in the Kim Kardashian love tape. I must admit I have not been watching, but I watched an episode today and is there a bigger tool? It is another dating show, which typically I am a big fan of, but when he picks the girl he hands them a glass of champagne and they drink it.......seriously lame. I will stick to Real Chance of Love thank you.

I have to say I don't know if I have seen a sharper decline than what has happened with One Tree Hill this year. As many of you know I have been quoted as saying that One Tree Hill changed my life, but we are getting so far removed from those classic episodes that I am wondering how.

Admittedly it is never easy making that leap from high school to post high school and as far as I have seen unless you are a genius like Aaron Spelling it is almost impossible, but did it have to get so bad so quick.

They don't even start the episodes anymore with Lucas Scott reading a lyric or a poem.

Maybe they should revisit:

Best episode of Real Housewives Ever!

Last week Gretchen made perhaps the most foolish decision a gold digger could make. She has invested years of sitting in a hospital with her vegetable fiance Jeff and years of giving up her body so that upon his passing she could cash it in and it all went down the drain in a matter of a couple hours.

She decided (after drinking an impressive amount of tequila) that she would hook up with Tamra's son Ryan and they end up hugging all over each other and the show ended with them up in his bathroom....to be continued. In my opinion she has already done enough.

BTW has anyone else notice the weird tension Ryan and his mother have, they act kinda like they want to date.......or am I just crazy.

I can just picture Jeff sitting in the hospital watching this episode. How long did it take him to call his lawyer to get the will changed immediately.

I have been following the Bravo message boards and many feel that Gretchen was taken advantage of by Tamra and Vicki. While I will admit they weren't helping, Greedy Gretchen is still an adult and can still make her own decisions.

When the dust settles basically Gretchen paid probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 million dollars to hook up with Ryan, now that is a costly mistake.

USC????? To all you AP voters who voted USC, you really showed your ignorance and your right to vote should be stricken: USC 12-1, Utah 13-0; USC lost to Oregon State, Utah beat Oregon State.

Texas????? Sorry you lost to Texas Tech who in turn was hammered by Mississippi who lost to Alabama who we all know got b**** slapped by the Utes.

Florida???? You were losing to Alabama until 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter and you lost to Mississippi.

Quick question, why do the coaches vote in the coaches poll if they are contractually obligated to vote for the winner of the BCS game......last I checked that would not really be a democratic vote but more of a contractual dictatorship. Last I checked this was America not Cuba, Florida did not have to float over to the Orange Bowl on a popsicle stick crafted raft. Although I do think it is time for Utah to defect from this absurd of a system (BTW: Gary Patterson of TCU; Rocky Long of New Mexico; Chris Petersen of Boise State; Dick Tomey of San Jose State and Pat Hill of Fresno State you ought to be ashamed of yourselves, you are a bunch of yellow-bellied idiots catering to the man. Now that I have that out of the system let us rejoice in the biggest beatdown since a rookie Robin Ventura charged the mound on Nolan Ryan or since an undersized cocky quarterback with a last name of Hall decided to put the ball in the air against a ball-hawking Utah secondary.

Has there ever been a better 30 minutes of sports than the coin flip of the Sugar Bowl through the first eight minutes of game time as Utah put their heel on the throat of Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson and took a 21-0 lead.

It all started with Alabama All-American Antoine Caldwell in the coin flip when he stared down Utah linebacker Stevenson Sylvester and repeated: I gonna kill you! I gonna kill you! I gonna kill you!

Three sacks and a fumble recovery later, Sylvester is shockingly still alive. Stevenson's quote after the game was classic: "It was all hype," Sylvester said of Alabama's physicality. "We were a lot faster than they were and speed kills, that's what we preach over here. It was great. We just got back there on them and used our athleticism."

The same Alabama that was ranked No. 1 for five weeks. The same Alabama that went undefeated in the regular season. The same Alabama that Florida beat in order to get INTO the BCS Championship game in the first place.

FIND ME ANYBODY ELSE THAT WENT UNDEFEATED. THIRTEEN-AND-ZERO. BEAT FOUR RANKED TEAMS. WENT TO THE DEEP SOUTH AND SEAL-CLUBBED ALABAMA IN THE SUGAR BOWL.

Yeah, that's how it is now in the shameful, money-grubbing world of college football. If you're Florida and you beat Alabama, you get a seat in the title game. If you're Utah, you get a seat on your sofa.

Hey, remind me: What do they give out for one of those BCS things anyway? It's been so long since I cared. Something from Sears? This is the sixth year in the past 10 that the title has been in dispute under this cash-grab, fan-dis, monopoly that the BCS has created. Which is why the title game just doesn't matter anymore. It's like being named Miss Ogallala. Or Best Amish Electrician.

Just take a look at the teams that think they're worthy of being called national champs:

USC? Great year. Wonderful. Let's all go to SkyBar and celebrate. But it lost to Oregon State, a team Utah beat.

Texas? You think beating Ohio State by a nubby three points gets you the title? The Big Ten was 1-6 in bowl games! That's like pinning David Spade!

Florida and Oklahoma? They lost. Utah never did.

So that's it. Utah is the national champion. The Utes should probably have two now, actually. They went undefeated in 2004, too, and their coach still thinks they were the best team in the land. Smart fella named Urban Meyer. Coaches Florida now.

By the way, we're calling our title the "national" championship because it actually includes the whole nation—all 119 Division I schools—unlike the BCS, which includes 66. Yeah, the BCS somehow eliminated the middleman—the NCAA. The conferences these schools play in take their dump trucks full of cash straight from the TV networks and fairness can go suck a lemon.

Handed Nick Saban a garlic necklace to wear the entire offseason. Stepped on his team's neck 21-0 in the first three possessions and never looked back. Let's see. Who was it that was losing to Alabama until nearly six minutes into the fourth quarter? Oh, yeah. Florida.

What, you want the Utes to win a spelling bee? Make a prize-winning souffle? Knock up Angelina Jolie? What?

It just slays me. It really does.

Call Myles Brand, president of the asleep-at-the-wheel NCAA, and ask him if he and his greedy presidents are going to stand in defiance of president-elect Barack Obama, who said again this week he wants a playoff and wants it yesterday.

Call Atlantic Coast Conference commissioner and BCS bully John Swofford and ask him what he's going to do if Obama starts asking the Justice Department to look into anti-trust violations against the BCS. The Utah attorney general has already launched an investigation into that very thing.

Ask him what he'll do if Obama asks the Department of Education to consider withholding federal funds from these schools that have entered into his secret club. You don't think playing in the title game means millions in general-fund donations for a school? That's as unfair as anything Title IX fought against.

The REAL Housewives

The Real Housewives of New York City brought us some very interesting characters and some good comedic relief.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta gave us a humorous and intriguing peak into Atlanta's social elite.

But really, it is so nice to have the originals back, none other than the REAL Housewives of Orange County. The old standbys Vicky, Jeana and Lauri are still kickin it and luckily we got rid of Quinn and the longest cleavage I have ever seen for the young vixen Gretchen who joins last years new addition Tamra.

I must say that Vicky is perhaps the most easy person to hate on reality T.V., just the sound of her voice is enough to give any man e.d. I loved how she treated Gretchen at their day at the spa, Gretchen can't just expect to come into the clique and be treated like a human.

Is there a better example of someone who is hot from afar but up close is painful to look at than Lauri. Great looking woman and then boom her messed up lip surgery slaps you in the face (BTW, I think she is the one leaving this week, she seems to bothered to be on the show anymore now that she has a rich husband).

One disappointment this year is what happened to Tammy and her two daughters. They brought an interesting aspect to the group (you know the poor aspect) but now they are just gone with no explanation.

The best line from last week had to come from Tamra when Gretchen was walking down her driveway to get in the limo "Hold on to your daddies here comes Gretchen", what a classic statement.

Stay tuned this week to see if it truly is Lauri that is leaving the show.

The Death of Death Row

So a few weeks ago I was in Bankruptcy Court (just another day as an Esquire Extraordinaire) and one of the cases called before mine was the Death Row Records case. The Judge called the case and 9 white lawyers promptly proceeded to rise to represent varying interests.

I couldn't help but reminisce about the old days of Death Row.....Suge, Tupac, Dre, Snoop and the crew runnin the west coast, hangin fools like Vanilla Ice from balconies, and now what....reduced to a bunch of white attorneys trying to weasel any crumbs left from the Empire.

This was the day before the election and I was just about to give up hope that Black America would ever get the respect they deserve. Then I thought about the poignant words of Tupac in his epic song Changes "we aint ready to see a black president" followed by the stirring Nas video "Black President" and I know Pac has to be smilin on the Island where he is living.

Pac the masters to all your songs may have been sold to creditors through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, but at least we got a black president....or at least a Hawaiian president.

Alright so I obviously have not had my priorities in order over the last month and it took an episode of Friday Night Lights to make me realize that I need to get it together, from now on it goes as follows in order of importance:

1) TV/Blog
2) Religion (just to be safe)
3) Homemade Salsa
4) Family
5) Work

I promise to never again put causing division, strife and pain by suing as many people, corporations and families as possible....before my blog.

Now back to Friday Night Lights. HANDS DOWN THE BEST SHOW ON TV. I love you Office, Lost, Hills, Island, One Tree Hill and 90210 but Friday Night Lights has it all...Teen Drama and Angst...Comedy...Good Writing...Great Characters.

I know it got jettisoned to the Directv channel (101 for those with Directv) which limits many potential viewers, (however to those without Directv let us discuss. First question would be, why? Second question would be, what are you waiting for? At this point it is clearly a step ahead of all other media providers. You get the Mtn., you get Friday Night Lights, you get 100 hours of DVR and Hi-Def all over the place). When you are switching over please let them know I sent you, my account number is 38457761.

So this week Coach Taylor was put in a real pickle at the quarterback position. Put in the freshman phenom or stick with the gutsy yet less skilled senior who has been through so much on and off the field. Perhaps he should lob a call to Mr. Whittingham. The Utes have a similar situation with the hugely talented Corbin Louks yet they have the gutsy five year senior Brian Johnson who just wins games. Whittingham has done an excellent job of slowly working in Louks in order to maintain continuity and team chemistry. We'll see how it goes for Coach Taylor as next week it looks like it is going to hit the fan.

Tyra, seriously you suck. I think Landry might be the coolest high schooler on TV and you dump him for Cowboy Cash, who is clearly nothing more than a player. I mean what does Landry have to do, kill someone for you? Oh wait he already did that! It broke my heart when you left him there alone after he got his wisdom teeth out

Finally, the moment that changed my perspective on life. Smash Williams (pictured on the top right) through the help of loyal friends, teammates, coaches and family finally got his chance and he will now be playing for Texas A & M while getting a college education. I haven't welled up that much since my daughter was born.

Props Smash you deserved it bro.

This Week on TV

The Hills:
Was The Hills on this week? By the time I went to blog about it I couldn't remember what happened.

90210:
So I must say 90210 is not disappointing. It is great teen drama with a twist. The twist being the positive message and agenda they are promoting. They have family night and all of the neglected teens want to be a part of it. The adopted black child gave a speech on the ills of drugs and alcohol. The effect that an adulterous affair has on a child is front and center. I could probably go on, but we all get the point, which is your children should be watching this.

One Tree Hill:
At this moment it is quite simply the show I look forward to the most each week. I welled up when Q's brother took his place in line with the b-ball team. If you are not watching, you need to get with it, how can you really consider yourself cool and hip if you are not up on OTH?

The Island:
So every year I begin the year with the following rhetorical question: how long are you going to continue to watch the real world/road rules/real world road rules challenges....are you ever going to be too old/mature for it.....are you a bad example to your child....is watching these shows a sin? I then proceed to watch them with unabashed dedication. Although it was advertised as different from past challenges The Island is pretty much the same as always......Alcohol Abuse and Debauchery, yet I can't look away. I was sad to see Abram go this week, I think him and Wes are the best challenge competitors of all time. The main questions left to be resolved: When will Dunbar snap? When will Johana be impregnated (this may have already happened)? Will Derrick's training finally pay off with a coveted challenge victory? I will definitely be tuned in for the ever important answers.

With new shows coming back this week should be a much better TV week. I was so bored with TV this week that I actually turned it off during prime time and played with my child.

Who Says The Hills Isn't Real

All of the non-believers of the "reality" portion of The Hills need to watch the black tear episode. The emotion was raw and palpable as LC and Audrina finally had their much needed talk. I almost broke down when Lauren said she felt like she was losing another friend and shed that now infamous Black Tear.

I felt like applying mascara and watching it again so that I could join Lauren with a black tear of my own.

As for Spencer, I may be coming around to the fact that he may be a douchebag.

OTH - WHY

As many of my true fans know, One Tree Hill changed my life. Last winter during the writer's strike I was desperate for new teen drama. I had never gotten into OTH and so I tuned into the Soap Network (Channel 262 for Directv customers) and started with the daily rerun.

It didn't take long before I was hooked. I was very impressed with the acting ability of Brooke and Lucas especially considering the off the screen difficulties with their marriage (another marriage ruined by Paris Hilton).

I think pound for pound Dan Scott might be the best villain on TV, and how do the writers get me to feel sympathy for him after he killed his brother in cold blood?

It might be the only show on TV where I get chills wondering what will happen next. Well Monday night's episode has really left me in a funk. We have all been inspired by the feel good story of Q, the troubled black basketball star who under the tutelage of Haley Scott and the mentoring of Nathan Scott had turned his life around and was really planning for a life off the court in case the whole NBA thing didn't work out.

About 45 minutes in I was near tears of joy when Q finished Les Miserables and got an A+ on his paper. 10 minutes later he gets shot to death in a convenience store as an accidental witness to a felony murder. Honestly OTH, couldn't we have just maimed him, why death? Saddening. RIP my brother.

A few other show notes from this week's episode. Deb is the hottest grandma on the planet. Payton is soooo annoying, is she really so caught up in her own engagment to believe Brooke's lame fall down the stairs excuse? Honestly Payton, you couldn't see that she also had grab marks around her arm and neck, last I checked bannisters didn't have fingers.

I can't wait for Dan to give Nanny Carrie the business, and I hope he somehow takes care of Q's murderer while he is at it.

Seriously.......Who Wouldn't Be Mad If An In-Law Messed Up the Tivo?

Tivo drama, last night on The Hills. Hurricane Holly Montag moved into the Pratt's crib and before she had even unpacked she went ahead and messed up the Tivo, causing Spencer to meltdown and drive to Heidi's work to call her out for an emergency heart to heart.

Some might say Spencer overreacted. Others might agree with Heidi when she told him maybe he should leave the pad more often. However, FP the contrarian, has a soft spot for those who have been victimized, either by a loved one or their own DVR box, and lost that season premiere 90210 (Laura I empathize).

I think they really should have told us what 3 shows got deleted by the less sexy Montag.

I mean who would pass judgment on Spencer if she deleted:
1) The season finale of Lost; and
2) The Michael Phelps gold medal race vs. the French in the 4 X 100 relay; and
3) The final rose ceremony for DeAnna on the Bachelorette

That would certainly be more understandable than if she deleted:
1) The BYU v. Northern Iowa game; and
2) Rerun of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School; and
3) Yesterday's episode of the Tyra Banks show

I guess what I am getting at is don't judge Spencer's reaction until you know what was deleted.

While we are on the discussion of DVR, I found a very illuminating study. I must say I have had this hypothesis for years now, and it is always nice to see your scientific theories turned into factual data:

I did expect a little more out of last night's episode, but at least it ended on a good note, Brody and Doug in jail. Someone must have insulted their styling attire or their occupations and got a beat down. Here is how I envision it went down:

Heckler: Hey Doug has anyone ever told you that you are strikingly handsome, athletic, and intelligent?

Doug: Actually I said that about myself on my website.

Heckler: What do you need a website for, you don't have a job.

Cue to Brody giving the heckler an intense yet sexy glare.

Brody: We have jobs punk, don't you know that we go to clubs for a living.

Heckler: Is that really a job?

The beat down ensues until the police show up and billy club our heroes Brody and Doug.

I know this post is getting exceptionally long, but I must touch on the new Brody Jenner show which is being produced by none other than Ryan Seacrest Productions which brought us such hits as Keeping up With the Kardashians and Denise Richards Colon It's Complicated.

The title of the show, BROMANCE, stars Jenner as a bro in need of another bro to join his entourage, as if Frankie and Doug aren't enough. This has hit written all over it. If it were a FP Production, I would have Spencer show up on the last episode and have them go on a romantic date. Brody would dismiss all of the other competitors/suitors and he and Spencer would make up and exchange promise rings as a token of their BROMANCE.

The moment we have all been waiting for finalllllly arrived tonight with the pilot of 90210 gracing the airwaves of the CW.....and it didn't disappoint. It brought the intensity from the get go with the remix version of the old theme song (na na na na, na na na na, du du, na na na na, na na na na, du du) to the illicit escapades of privileged teenagers.

The cameos brought chills to the spine. Who didn't want to die when Kelly and Brenda reunited. I was so relieved that they have decided to let bygones be bygones. I truly thought that they would never get past the episode in which Brenda caught Kelly with Dylan and called her a bimbo. Poor Nat he no longer has the intimate Peach Pit, but instead is a Corporate Lackey at a very trendy Starbucks-like "Peach Pit".

I loved the nerdy West Beverly broadcaster Hannah Zuckerman-Vazquez, apparently she didn't lose the annoying gene from her mother Andrea Zuckerman.

The girls are cute (especially Naomi, is she a spitting image of Jesse Spano, or what) and seem to have nice personalities. The boys are California Cool, although I don't quite trust Ty Collins yet. Finally the parents and adults are a dramatic upgrade, I was so disappointed when Summerland went off the air and I was pleasantly surprised to see the return of Lori Loughlin of Full House/Summerland fame, as the mom.

I was relieved that the black kid living in B.H. does not actually have black parents, but is adopted by white parents, phewww. The last thing we need is a bunch of minorities bringing down the neighborhood.

FP will be giving a prize to the first person to predict who is the baby daddy for Kelly's lovechild Sam. The prize is a surprise but I expect it will be quite savory.

P.P.S. Did my Palisades readers take it as an affront that West Beverly's big rival is Palisades Hall? Releasing the pigs inside the school was a little uncalled for.

Hills Recap.....Yawn

I must say, I was incredibly disappointed by The hills this week. Nothing happened.

I still have some observations.

1) Spencer sealed his player status when he was reading FP's favorite book "Killing Pablo". If you haven't read it you need to get on it. It was my inspiration in developing my own Cartel.

2) Why is Brody going on dates with Lauren when he has a "serious" girlfriend.

3) Lauren is back to looking good, she was very cute last night.

4) Poor Doug, nice house though.

The previews for next week were impressive so I am not giving up on The Hills by any means.

It's Like Telling Israel and Iran to Get Along

Alright, so I am a day late with my Hills recap, but boy do we have a lot to talk about.

I must say that Spencer's political analogy really showed a different more intellectual side of Spencer.....and I must agree his sister is naive to think that everyone is just going to be friends. I personally would compare it more with a Georgia/Russia situation, but Iran/Israel works.

BTW it sure didn't take long for Doug to get initiated into the Brody/Frankie alliance. Maybe they were impressed with his website, where it states in the "About Me" section, and I quote:

"Strikingly handsome, athletic, and intelligent, Doug Reinhardt is a gentleman with a strong drive for success in all aspects of his life. His sense of humor is contagious and his charm is breathtaking. Doug has always had strong morals and set his goals early in life."

I Don't Think We Can Ever Be Friends

There seems to be some dissenting opinions as to who was in the right last night in the Lodrina squabble.

Let me start with this, I don't think this girl has the capacity of being mean:

Ever since the awkward lunch at the Mexican restaurant where Audrina basically had to invite herself to live with Lo and LC, I have not been down or lo for that matter.

Let us get on to perhaps a deeper issue. Is it a coincidence that LC is constantly losing "best friends" could it be that the real problem is our beloved Lauren. She cut Heidi out of her life for doing the same thing with Spencer that she had done with Jason. Brody dumped her. Stephen Colletti dumped her. Jason dumped her. One has to ask, what is really going on?

At least Doug is hot (but I'm sure he will soon be dumping her).

The Hills Are Alive.........

I know pretty lame pun for my title, but who cares because tonight after weeks of anticiption "The Hills" is back.

When we left off LC and Audrina were in the midst of a BFF meltdown due to Lo's incessant meddling in their friendship. I hated to see it go down like this because I actually liked the Laguna Beach version of Lo.

Of course we have inside info that Speidi is alive and well as we see them all over town together.

Here are my predictions for the season:

1. Heidi will quit Bolthouse and start up Speidi productions which will quickly become the hottest new production company in town behind the leadership of entrepreneur extraordinaire, Mr. Spencer Pratt.

2. I think we need a comeback and who better than Kristin Cavalleri. Her acting career has flopped so why not take on a role she is already familiar with.

3. Jason "The Baller" Wahler will sign with Speidi Productions and will release a rap album in which he cracks LC.

4. Audrina and Justin Bobby will be engaged by the end of the season. What a score for JB not only is Aud hot, but she also seems very sweet and down to earth.

Whatever trouble these crazy kids get into it should definitely be a very exciting and captivating season.

I log on this morning to find an unauthorized and impermissible post. My identity has been stolen. So, I must say it sure is nice that in 2006 Serbia finally went legitimate and got rid of Montenegro. It was hard to take you seriously in the Olympics when your team name was Serbia and Montenegro. You don't see the U.S.A. entering the World Cup as the U.S.A. and Mexico just to improve our chances or you don't see us entering our hockey team as the U.S.A. and Canada.

Also I got your back and I am also not going to recognize Kosovo's declaration of independence. I know this could be considered an act of treason in the U.S. , however so long as the support of the blog continues my support of your claim over Kosovo will remain. You can't just declare independence.

Suffice it to say, I was so excited to give this a try, figuring it would come up with McConaughey. To my excitement errrrrrrrrr I mean dismay my celebrity-look-alike was no other than Charlize Theron the anointed "sexiest woman alive" by Esquire Magazine in 2007.

I didn't feel like the picture I sent in to the website accentuated my moobs, but who knows. Also, apparently the site does not take body fat percentage into account.

I was recently reminded of a classic BYU/Utah football moment:

"Tempers boiled again during the 1999 football game in Provo, and this time it involved a Utah yell leader, Billy Priddis. As he was carrying a large red Utah flag past the BYU student section, one Cougar fan jumped out of the stands and tackled Priddis. Priddis jumped to his feet, tackled the fan, and started throwing punches. By the time security could break it up, Priddis had landed seven or eight punches on the rowdy fan. Watching the altercation from the sideline, Ute Wide Receiver Steve Smith turned to a nearby group of BYU fans and said “even our cheerleaders are kicking your butt.”

However, in the spirit of equality I gotta give props to former Cougar Vai Sikahema for his beatdown of Jose Canseco. Sikahema is 5'9" and 200 lbs while Canseco is 6'4" and 248 lbs.
